Using the shrimp stock from the last recipe I posted, I made a super simple wonton soup for the last few days of soup season (...but let's be real every day is soup season in this house). This recipe is a no frills dish, easy to put your own spin on, and most importantly, yummy and COZY! Full instructions are, as always, below the video.
Ingredients:
Wonton wrappers
Protein of choice (I used about a cup of shrimp)
1 tbsp ginger, minced
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1/4 cup scallions
Stock/broth of choice
Optional ingredients:
Cilantro (in dumpling filling or as a garnish)
Red chilis
MSG
Garlic oil
Directions:
Combine and finely chop your protein, garlic, ginger, scallions, and cilantro with kitchen sheers or lightly pulse in a food processor. Fill dumpling wrappers with the filling, folding them however you prefer. Meanwhile, bring your stock/broth to a simmer and add in the dumplings. After about a minute, add the MSG and red chilis to the broth. Once the dumpling filling is fully cooked, remove from heat, add to a bowl, and garnish to your liking.
